Biography: Katherine worked briefly at J.Crew during school and after graduating started working at a children's software company as a quality tester and moved up to Producer. Now working at Adobe as an Engineering Project Manager on OEM accounts in the print division. She is now looking to go back into a fashion related career that utlizes her Textiles degree.

Biography: Valerie graduated from UC Davis in 2005 with a Textiles and Clothing major (Marketing and Economics emphasis) and a minor in Education.. A month after graduation, she began working at Mervyns Headquarters in Hayward, CA as an Anaylst Training Participant in the Analyst Training Program. Upon completion of the 12 week program, Valerie became a Business Analyst in the Little Girls department.

Biography: Educator, business owner and textile artist, Beth Ann St. George has been interested in many aspects ofart involving fabrics: pattern-making, clothing design and quilting. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics (1967) and a Master of Science Degree in Textile Science from the University of California, Davis (1972).

Name: Julie Stonehouse
Graduation Year: 1989
Degree: MS Textiles and Clothing
Biography: Julie earned her Textiles and Clothing degree in 1989 and immediately began working for Jessica McClinktco as a costing analyst. Fourteen months later she accepeted a position in Patagonia Inc's fabric labs in Ventura, CA. There she worked in both fabric quality and fabric development. In 1996, having left Patagonia, she traveled for 6 months, and upon her return began to pursue a career in decorative painting. In 2000, she took a job with the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) as a textiles instructor. Today she is the Lead Textiles Instructor at FIDM and concurrently owns her decorative painting business, Stonehouse Design Company.

Name: Kari Anne Sullivan
Graduation Year: 2002
Degree: MS Textiles and Clothing
Biography: Kari Anne graduated from UC Davis in 2002 with a B.S. in Textiles and Clothing Marketing and a minor in English. Upon graduating, she worked as an administrative assistant in Sacramento, CA, while looking for an entry-level position in visual merchandising (her area of interest). In the fall of 2003 she joined Papyrus (a fine stationary and gift company) at their corporate office as a Visual Merchandiser. In this position she regularly communicates visual standards to a fleet of 140 stores nationwide using a mock studio in-house. Additionally, she visits stores to ensure the integrity of the brand and develops POS/POP and other marketing collateral. Her future plans include a move into apparel (soft-goods) and returning to graduate school for a PhD in Cultural Studies.
