Application Requirements and Tips Admission and Advising Procedures The UC Davis General Catalog contains information about academic requirements, admission requirements, curricula, course descriptions, degrees offered, regulations and requirements for degrees, financial aid, the academic calendar, student activities, and general campus information. Applications for admission can only be obtained and submitted online at: The Dean of Graduate Studies is responsible for admission of students to the textiles M.S. program. All inquiries concerning the status of applications for admission should be referred to Graduate Studies. The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and three letters of recommendation are required. Applicants whose native language is not English must submit results from a TOEFL examination. Please request ETS to transmit your test results to us using Institution Code 4834. The following Department Codes must be used when registering for the GRE and TOEFL exams. The ETS description will not be the same as our graduate program name. That does not matter! Please use the following Department Codes for each of these exams: Department Code for GRE: 1613 Department Code for TOEFL: 44 All information regarding submitting your three letters of recommendation are included in the application instructions. After admission to the program, a graduate adviser will assist each student in formulating programs that meet the individual's educational objectives, and assure that the formal requirements of the M.S. degree are fulfilled. All graduate students should consult with their adviser before enrolling in classes each quarter. Finanical Assistance An application form for fellowships and scholarships may be obtained from Graduate Studies. Since there is keen competition for these awards, a student must have an outstanding academic record. The deadline for application is January 15.
