POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Division of Textiles and Clothing offers a temporary Lecturer position in TXC008. The Textiles and Apparel Industries (4)

 

Lecture - 4 hours. Textile and apparel industries including fashion theory, production, distribution, and consumption of textile goods.

 

APPOINTMENT DATE:

Fall Quarter (September 23, 2013 through December 13, 2013)  

Qualifications: A master’s degree (or 30 units of graduate coursework) and prior professional success and recognition for excellence will be considered as minimum requirements.  The primary means of evaluating teaching ability and quality will be:1) evidence of expertise and recognition in subject matter, 2) student evaluations, and 3) extent of teaching experience.  Expertise in subject matter will be evaluated based on a candidate’s academic training, publications, professional recommendations, and prior achievement in teaching.  Teaching experience will be evaluated by curriculum vitae and supporting documentation.

Salary and Appointment Level

Salary will be commensurate with the course teaching load and experience.
